They are the ame species; Sauromalus ater. I would expect if it is a gboy to get to about 15 inches give or take an inch and slightly smaller for a female. NV chucks are probably more commonly kept that the rest as NV is the only state that still allows commercial collecting of chucks. Most people that are really into chucks keep the redbacks just because they think they are more desireable colorwise. They get a nice rich red color in the mid section. Most NV chucks with the exception of a few locales in Southern NV get little to no red. Color on chucks in NV is a lot more variable that in AZ and even though they do not get the red there are some awesome colors that consist of tan, black, white, gray and even silver looking. Eve's NV male is spectacular. Depending on how hot you keep them and how much you feed they can reach adult size in anywhere from 3 to 5 years. BTW where did you get your chuck from? Tom | ||
