I know that ball pythons don't need a companion and can live fine without. My wife and I rearranged some furniture in the house and put or ball pythons cages closer together. Shortly after the room quieted down my male ball python slowly made is way across the side on his enclosure towards where the females is. Now, they are both to young to breed (age wise) but, I was told by a clerk at NERD where I bought my male that he was sexually mature. The female has noticed the male but, doesn't seem to care. Is the male attempting something or is their some sort of social behavior between balls? I've read several books and can't seem to find much in the way of describing their behaviors in a social sense? Is their such a thing besides maybe territorial aggression or mating behavior?
