Fire Hazard IMO !
Clean up a $6K litter of 8 week old "cooked" pups "just one time" and you`ll never have another idea like I did.
Much the same idea as yours,prolly could have been much worse......

The newer space heaters have a butt load of safety features already in them that prevent loss of life,be it animal or human.
Cant trust those ceramics in a reptile encloser,why do it with your property ?

I was wondering how much those guys put off. so if you could tell me the temps there putting off for you and what's size inclosure you keep it in. I'm not trying to have it toasty warm but just something to take the chill off for the dog.
