Hi Mark -

Per your request, I selected some older pics of a couple of my Snow boas (Full body and Tail only).

Actually, as many have already pointed out, the most visible markers are the wider saddles of the Snow, plus the ever-so-slight outline around the tail saddles of the Snow.

The tail is the best marker as there is always variation in the width of saddles between different animals and different litters. The tail variation is best described as a "hue" around the saddle, not necessarily a distinct line. I know this may be difficult to see at first for an untrained eye that has not seen a lot of Snows or Moonglows, but it is actually very easy once you have seen some numbers. A good comparision is the difficulty many of us had in the early days in identifying/distinguishing an Anery, which is now a piece of cake for most anyone.

You can go to the Kingsnake Photo Gallery and view larger images.

Hope this helps ... Bill
