That is actually Eryx miliaris or possibly Eryx tataricus.
AFAIK, which species occur in Xinjiang isn't quite clear at the moment. By the size, I would guess it is tataricus.
The English name would be Tartar Sandboa. There have never been any valid subspecies described within tataricus so the eastern ones are no different than the western ones.

A wild caught Eryx tataricus generally goes for around $75-100 here in the US. Maybe since they are from a different part of the range than most tataricus imported into the US, you might be able to generate $150 for a few large healthy adults. The problem is that tataricus aren't pretty and don't sell as well as Kenyan and West African sandboas. I figure there are a dozen people in Europe and the US who would buy them at the $100 to $150 price if they were good healthy specimens.

You should post that picture on the Sandboa forum and see if some of the sandboa people are interested.
