Hi,
thanks for the feedback. I have been thinking about pairing mine this coming season for most of the summer but always worried about the size. If she were a pure central I would not have a problem, however, as she is a cross I wasn't sure. I think I will give her a go. I still have a few months to get a few more adult rats into her. She is certainly bigger than a lot of the sonoran and central americans that I have bred in the past so if she breeds, she breeds. If not, I am happy to wait the extra year. Time will tell.
Similar to you I have several colombians that are under 6ft and refuse to grow any longer, despite their feeding schedule. They get fatter but not longer. Its funny, until yesterday I was happy with the size of these 6ft or under females. Then I picked up an 8ft, 50lb monster het albino female and a 6ft poss het albino female and they dwarf the others. We see variation all around us, so why should we not expect it also in snake size?
