Well I personally wouldn't touch my turtles shell unless I had to. I don't think they like that.



If you have a UVA/B bulb it should be enough so you don't have to take them outside in the sun. I don't like the idea of forcing them to get dry because that's pretty messed up. I think they panic if their not near water and that's not good. I would say if your turtle's shell looks the same as it has been then it should be ok. Maybe change the diet a little to give him more of what he needs (read some articles at austin turtles page)
