you can't be too careful. Sometimes saving $50 - $100 initially can lead to big problems later on. Including many more hundreds at a vet not to mention the heartache of losing a beloved pet and trust me you get really attached to them. Try to find a good reputable breeder. Herp expos can have good and bad guys at them too. I would lurk around on this site. Read all the posts for a while. Ask others to post who they have had a good experience with. Sometimes it's worth spending the shipping $$
A good breeder should know how to ship their chams safely.
Some good ones I like are Cham Paradise, Bluebeast, Kammerflage, but post the question on this site and see who else because I have been absent for about a year so there may be some new breeders that are really good.
Feenie, Lele and Carlton really know their stuff so they may have some good imput for you.
I used to breed but due to some personal difficulties am chamless at the moment but hopefully not for long since this is the first time since 1998 that I don't own one.
I will hopefully be getting one soon though.
Also post asking for a good detailed care sheet. I used to have one when i sold chams but am not at my usual computer. If anyone that bought one of my chams has my old care sheet they are welcome to e-mail it to you. My reason for writing it is to make sure my chams got good care and that new owners would not have to go through heartache because once a cham is really sick it is hard to get them back on track. Especially with organ damage.
Feenie got stitch from me years ago and just look at him, so my care sheet is hopefully helping out. He also could not have asked for a better mommie!
