Shed

What does it mean when a cham. only sheds it's head area??? Is this bad. They are about seven months along, veileds and have every other time been doing full body sheds now his last shed was just his head and then about a week later he shed by his back legs. Something wrong I know it, any advice wouod be appreciated.
