but that is why it is a theory.

My feeling, right now, today, is that...

... Sharp and Caramel have the same Genotype.

Just different Phenotypes. So when combined the allele pair up (since they are the same genotype) but the phenotype is altered because of the differences in the phenotypes of Sharps and Caramels.
