I use dimpled craft paper, and a couple of layers of newspaper underneath. I don't "clean my cages completely once a week" or any other time frame. I check every cage every day and when soiled, Then I clean thoroughly. Seems my snakes like to mess the cage more often, I could never go two weeks without some kind of mess.
I do cut my papers such that they ride up an inch or so. Also, I use two overlapping pieces for the 4' cages and quite often only one side is soiled. Again, anything that is soiled is changed, no matter how little!!
>>But have you considered cleaning your cages more often???

>>I also use those cage liners. I clean my cages completely once a week. I clean them more often if my snakes deficate, urinate, spill the water, or just have a heavy water build up on the doors. Sometimes there's just too much humidity ya know.

>>Anyway if you're only cleaning your cages every two weeks and you have "mold" then,..... You need to clean more often. ----- Thanks,
Dave Colling
