boa size and shape

I wonder what all your thoughts are on this subject.

It seems most photos of large boas, especially females show animals that look fat. Do boas become fat with age? Is this something that happens more in cptivity? It seems large wild boas do not look as fat, rather they are quite lean looking. I wonder what the healthies way to keep an animal is as far as feeding goes... Just some thought...
