Hi folks,

I just wanted some opinions on how an issue should be resolved if one was to recieve a missexed snake. This one has a few twists involved.

Someone sold me a neonate Boa awhile back for over a thousand dollars. It was sold to me as a male. I never probed it considering I figured where it came form they should be 100% correect in knowing the sex.

I ended up selling the snake a few months later and the new owner let me know it was a female about a year later. I sold it as a male(what I originally bought it as and figured it was) and never checked the sex myself.

The current owner is OK with it being a female and is super cool and understanding. Though I am a little peeved at the breeder who sold it to me.

Question is what would be the proper way to resolve the issue and is the original seller liable for it being the wrong sex?

I am just curious as the new owner is OK with it and doesn't appear to be angry with me. I know people make mistakes but if you are selling higher end boas should sexes be guaranteed a year later if not how would you resolve the situation if the new owner wasn't cool with it.....??

Thanks in advance for your opinion and response!!

This is not the Boa in question...just thought I would post a pic of one I picked up in Anaheim...
