This what I do for my boas. defrost it For a few hours, and when ready put it in a zip lock bag and put it in some hot water and let sit for 30-40min. Snakes sense the heat and smell. Just lay it down in his cage and leave him alone for a hour and like magic it should be gone. If you just got him, let him settle in his enclosure for a few days before you try to feed him.
