The way I was told is "All Salmons are Hypos, but not all Hypos are Salmons.

Salmon is a term coined by Rich Ihle who originally started the line of Hypos called Salmon Hypos.

Its like the name Salmon is a brand name of Hypo, the actual Genetic morph is called Hypomelanism.
