Southerns are awesome.



I was in the same boat as you- wanted a northern really bad, but a breeder here sold me on a southern, and I couldn't have been happier.



The southerns don't get as long as the notherns, but I think they are heavier bodied.



They are known to be the loudest hissers of all the pits, but mostly show. My female '05 is a sweetheart- never hissed, but on occasion will rattle her tail- she's GREAT with my kids!



I got mine from Nokturnel Tom- I know he's got a clutch of eggs that's due to hatch any day now... his snakes are top notch, and he's a pleasure to buy from!
