I put my two year old het pied male in with a two year old het pied female a few days ago(both have never been breed). A couple days later I notice little spots of blood, not fecies, blood, on the substrate. I use unprinted newspaper so its pretty obvious. I checked both snakes for injuries. Nothing. The female is extrememly shy and it doesnt seem like the male has any interest so far. Could this be some kind of hormonal issue with the female (assuming it came from her) getting ready to--for a lack of better terms--go into heat?
