She was taken to the vet, who thinks she has a birth defect. She appeared to have a slightly pink color and swelling the last ten inches of her (the limp part). The vet thinks her spine and nerves caused the color and swell. My question is whether or not birth defects normally present themselves at this age. She appeared to be a perfectly normal and healthy snake when she was purchased from a reputable reptile store. Has anyone experienced their snake being fine one day and the next day exhibiting horrible symptoms caused by a birth defect? I'm still baffled by this.
