Kinda bulky and I don't like how the backup keeps shutting off the primary. Myabe it's just mine but the backup seems to always be sensing a higher temp than the primary. Maybe they're not real accurate? I stopped using it and have all my stuff on Helix DBS1000's. I like them, a bit pricey but if I remember correctly, less than the ranco double. They're supposed to have safety circuitry to ensure they don't stick. As with any stat, probe placement (securing the probe in place) is very important. I have over a dozen of the Helix units and never had any problems with them. | ||
