invest that much in boas is if I had $2million in the bank.
Personally, it doesn't take a lot of cash to build a solid collection, and I would NEVER start with adult boas, that is asking for trouble. If you are serious, start with neonates from the best breeders.
I see a downfall if you try this as you seem to plan. Buying large numbers of adult boas is a bad idea, especially focusing on one or few morphs. Quantity is not the way to go, quality is.
If you have $250k and have nothing else to use it for, I would use $50k MAX on boas. Don't do that right away, buy some baby females that you really like, then next year buy males to pair with them. Put money asside for cages, heating, thermostats; usually about $500 per adult snake (husbandry costs to raise one boa from baby to adult and keep it its entire life). $5 a month per snake to feed it. Find a good vet, I would go through a university or zoo near you, at home I used the exotics vet for the Pittsburgh Zoo. The rest of the money, give it to a charity.
