It is illegal to export any chameleons from South Africa except under scientific permits and this is absolutely not a species that comes from South Africa to start with. No species from South Africa looks ANYTHING like the animal in your photograph and the common name he gave you is as bogus as the rest of his information, don't bother trying to validate his recommendation on humidity and hydration, it should be obvious from the animal's condition that its wrong.
