Heterozygous – means having two different genes for a given trait - a pastel has the normal "wild type" gene and the pastel gene which makes it a het for the dominate form (super pastel). Because the pastel gene causes the het form to look differnt than the wild type it's called a co-dom but it's got a mixed set of genes it also falls under het.
You're right there is no Het for Pastel, but a pastel is het for super pastel.
Is that clear as mud? ----- Tosha
