I think some people cool them down to stimulate breeding..ie. seasonal changes. I don't see any reason to cool him down anyway. I'd keep him warm. If it doesn't seem to be loosing weight I don't think its a problem. BP's are hunger strike experts. You could try switching the type of prey item it stimulate feeding..
