Power outages! What to do?

I live in an area where the power goes out a few times every winter. In the past when the power has gone out I've just put heat packs in with my 4 ball pythons which has worked out fine. However, this year I plan on breeding them and I'm worried about power outages for two reasons:



1) For breeding purposes I need to keep the temps at a desired temp and the heat packs won't allow me to do that.



2) If I am lucky enough to get eggs, I can't have a filled incubator shut down when the power goes out! That would be devistating!



Any suggestions? I'm willing to spend the money on a generator but I'm lost as to what kind of generator I need. Are there any good ones out there that people have had success with? Any other route I should take?



All advice is welcome!
