I was thinking that same thing. Why not just leave them together until they get it done? It's not like I have any other pairs to work with this year. Last year, they both got restless in July. Knocking over the water bowls, circling around and around the cage constantly. I waited until September to introduce him, because I had read that it was a good time to do so. He courted her for four months, on and off. I noticed some swelling, but nothing like the ovulation pictures I've seen. She didn't take.
Letting them decide when they want to do it makes sense to me.
Do you remember waiting for your first litter?
It's enough to drive one mad!!
