I would say it needs to be white. I would like to see pics, is the patternless area the same in all of the individuals? I have seen a few reduced pattern albinos that are awsome looking animals(more orange than normal)but I don't think it could be considered pied. It would be odd if the reduced pattern was always roughly the same shape and in the same area of the body in all babies that are produced like that. lets see some pics when you get a chance.

I know that the pieds that VPI has have never proven to be an inheritable trait, but some others are working with hopefull pieds but I have never heard, other than rumors, that they have been succesful. I havn't seem the pics yet.
