with pastels you really only need one male. It's nice to have a backup male for your first year or two and replace him with a super pastel. One male can breed to several females. Sell the males or trade them. Keep as many females as possible so you can produce super pastels and cross them into other morphs.

Pastel females will always be in demand.

Just my opinion but I believe the pastel morph is still one of the best values in the ball market.
