I know that a lot of people are resistant to let their cat interact with smaller animals, but I have always held to the belief that cats can get along with any animal. This is certainly true in my house. I have a cat that I trust with all of my animals. She has never once gone to bother my bird, lizards, snakes, or mice. She is supervised with the animals when they are out, but there has been one or two occasions where I forgot that my bird was out flying around my room and I left to go downstairs...Cleo (my cat) never bothered her. I feel that she knows that anything that I bring into the house is family, and should be treated with respect. Wildlife however is a different matter...she always catches the wild mice that sometimes come in, but she never kills them. She usually picks them up and deposists them ALIVE on our bed--with us in it! Lol. We might just have an exceptional cat, but I believe that cats have the potential to get along with any creature. ----- 2.2 Beardies:
