I rented an apartment, and the lease stated "fur bearing pets are not allowed". I got a boa constrictor. I never had a problem. I would just ask what are the rules about pets and check the lease. I wouldn't be specific. Most of the time, I think they worry about the carpets from dogs or cats. Derek
