"dimming" thermostats are most often used to control heat output of tank heaters not lights. It also depends on whether the heating element is an "on-off" or other type of control. We tend to want more light...and if you dim them you just defeated the purpose. If a light is too hot we just use a lower watt bulb. [ Hide Replies ]
