humidity for a western

I am the new owner of a juvey western, and seeing as he's getting a little pissy, and refusing food, I think we're near shedding time.
What is the proper humidity for a shed? I keep boas and burms, and I am used to high humidity during sheds.
Do I need to raise humidity? I'm about 30%-40% humidity right now for a normal situation.
