Yup- then you're in for a treat.

Most baby pythons are pretty nippy, but JCP's especially from what I've heard/seen.

Give the little guy some time to settle down, then handle on a regular basis, and be very patient.

I actually just got my first baby JCP last week, too, but have several buddies who have them.

My little guy is the same way- I can get him out no problem if I do it without hesitation. Once out, he's pretty cool, unless you go anywhere near his head- pretty much guarantees a hit.

No sudden movements/jerks, and no hedging. If you're going to pick him up, then do it- don't back away/flinch- that'll just make things worse.
