I use Black Flag. Its main ingredient (only 1 of 2) is permethrin which is the same active ingredient in
Provent-a-Mite. Prov a mite has .50% concentration and clearly works well. However, I dont feel fuzy inside when I spend $20 on a 12oz can. Black Flag is an outdoor wasp/pest spray that comes in a 16oz can, has a concentration of .200% (probably the same as .2%) permethrin and costs only $4. It has worked awsome for me. I had a sudden break out a few weeks ago and this stuff did the trick hands down. There a one or two other brands of the same stuff as Black Flag but I chose BF because it was less expensive. Pay close attention when chooseing a spray at the hardware store. If it has permethrin then chances are it will do a good job. Be sure that it doesnt have too many other chemicals if you dont know how theyll affect your animals. BF only has two and it works great. Aslo pay attention to the concentration of permethrin. Some sprays only contain concentrations in the hundreths place (.02 or .05% etc) Make sure it has at least .2% or better. IMO
