The general opinion is that the minimum age for BCI is 18 months for a male and 3 years for a female. This being said, your male is sexually mature and judging by his actions he is ready to breed. If you are prepared to breed him there is nothing wrong with doing so. As a side note, some feel that younger males attribute to low fertility (more slugs), but as far as I am aware there is no conclusive evidence to back it up. | ||
