feeding problem

i have a central american boa that i tryed all different ways to feed and he will not take but i didnt try to force feed but i don't like doing that . Could it jump start him feeding again? he has not ate in about a month or so and he small for how old he is , he is 7 yrs . i got him from a adoption place and they had him his whole life and feed him frozen . what can i do?
