Pythons in the Antaresia complex are interesting. I keep both childreni (childrens) and maculosa (spotted). They stay small, are undemanding in their husbandry, and grow into personable adults.

In terms of boas: rosy, rubber, sand and small insular Bci meet your criterion. They have differing needs in terms of husbandry, as well as reputations for differing temperaments.

Research will help you decide which species is right for you--best of luck with your search.
