I know they are CITES Appendix I Animals, they can not be collected from the wild, or exported out of the country of origin. Those in the US for example where from lines here before the change from Appendix II status and can only be bred and sold within the US.

The United States classification for endangered species (ESA) doesn't recognize them as as critically endangered, so you can ship across state lines. Other animals in Appendix I like Indian Pythons P.m.molurus, can not be shipped across state lines without federal permits.
