Heh. Back when I was 'starting out', I tried thawing a mouse in the microwave (fortunately it was wrapped in paper towels and inside a ziplock just in case). Let's just say, well, there's a GOOD reason that whole animals should not be thawed in the microwave, no matter how slowly or how low the wattage. Air inside intestines = happy fun explosion! Last time I ever did that (the stench alone was enough to make me not repeat it). But I like to tell that story, especially when friends are eating lo-mein
