I also used the perlite and vermiculite mix I used distilled or dechlorinated water to moisten the soil. I also kept them in a rubbermade container in my closet with 2 small holes. The tempature in my closet was a constant 72 to 76. I had 100% hatch rate on all my clutches. Be sure you check the moist soil about once a week it just needs to clump together. All my veileds hatched at 8 months. One clutch hatched at 71/2 months. The one starting to hatch today was laid March 2oth. I believe that is about 71/2 months. I would check on your eggs everyday after 6 months. I checked last night and I thought they still had a couple of weeks to go. Right now I have 10 babies out of the clutch of 52 . Enjoy it so much fun watching the little guys come out. But they have to do themselves . We are not suppose to help them. After they come out of the egg I gently wipe them off with a moist paper towel and put them in a small screened cage. Make sure the water on the paper towel is distilled or dechlorinated water. | ||
