Water temperature stability....

Hi Guys! I have a question about water temperature.



For some reason, my aquarium's water temperature never drops below 75 F degrees. Let me also state that I don't use a heater. I just bought a new thermometer, so I don't think its defective. During the day the water temp. reaches a max of about 80 F and generally drops a few degress by nightfall. Its summer right now, and I live in Toronto, Canada.



Is anyone else's water like this? Shouldn't water normally drop to cold temperatures? I found it very strange that the water keeps itself this warm...



Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
