>>I agree with Jay 100 %. Provent a mite is a great way to go.
>>
>>I went to a seminar a few years ago chaired by Dave Barker of VPI Reptiles. Dave explained to the group that mites go through a nymph stage where they become air born. This means no matter how good your husbandry is. If you do not preventively treat against mites they will eventually find their way onto our snakes. If my memory is correct I believe a mite's gestation period is three weeks. This means that we have to treat our snakes every two to three weeks if we are going to stay ahead of the game.
>>
>>I have been spraying small shots of provent a mite in every tub of every rack in my faciity every three weeks for the past three years. I believe it is for this reason alone that I have not seen any mites on any snake I own.
>>
>>Be consistant and your snakes too will be mite free.
>>
>>Good luck
