It is probably at the owner's risk to use Nix or whatever lice bedding spray, however I highly doubt lice treatments for eradication of lice on/near HUMANS will be 'pulled from the shelves' because it hasn't been tested for snakes.

Alternatively, the same ingredient can be bought at livestock supply stores and then diluted appropriately, if anyone is worried about inert ingredients. That way, you'd just have the mite-killing chemical (same as P-a-M) and water.

In my opinion, there is as much a chance of Nix being pulled from drugstores as of Preparation H being pulled from the shelves because someone decided to start using it as Chap-Stick on a pomeranian.
