I have a female that will NOT lay anywhere else except in her usual enclosure. She will dig like crazy, you move her and nothing for almost a week. Then you put her back in her cage and she lays that day!



>>I know quite a few breeders and none of them put the dirt right in the enclosure. Most that I know use a mixture of potting soil and a little sand. When the female starts digging and looking to drop her eggs they go ahead and put them in the egg laying bin with a clamp light over the mound to heat the soil a bit. I plan to do mine this way as well. WWW.Dachiu.com explains how this is done in quite some detail.good luck.
