Nah, it's not the kind of shocking where I see iguanas with leopard geckos and bearded dragons...It's the kind of shocking where.. you meet great knowlegeable people working at Petco. So today I went to Petco to grab some crickets and mealies... This Petco's pretty OK most of the time: they feed f/t, baby beardies get crickets instead of mealies, clean cages, UVB, big healthy herps (including iguanas..3 feet!!), et cetera et cetera. So my friend and I were hanging out by the door waiting for the Petco employee to get our crickets and we were discussing herps and what we might get at the next herp show. The Petco employee all of a sudden says, "Everything's cheap at herp shows, but you have to be careful about buying adult beardies, because some breeders try to sell off their 5-6 year old non-producing females. One of my breeding colonies of 7 beardies failed because a lot of the females were too old." My friend and I just stood and gaped at him. So we were there for about half an hour talking about herps. He's owned niles, tegus, breeding colonies of beardies and leos, uromastyx, and a whole bunch of other herps.

My friend's looking to purchase some leos and was gonna get some at the herp show, but this Petco has some NICE tangs, albinos, patternless, and abberants. The Petco guy told me that most of the normals and tangs were probably het for albino or patternless. They also had some cool carrottail x tang. We might get a patternless and albino or tang from there.

Just sharing a good experience at Petco. I am fully aware that there are some really crappy Petcos out there and I've seen some, but I'm going back to this Petco.

Don't worry I'll catch you...

Nothing's going to change the world.

Is this what you call tact?

I swear you're as subtle as a brick in the small of my back.

It's times like these where silence means everything.

Everyone's caught onto everything you do.
