Hang onto that one you have, there was some really weird genetics going on in that litter. The mother has an aberrant pattern, with some kind of hypomelanism. The father was blonde, but nothing special. One of the babies looks just like the mother, one has the same pattern as the mother, but is not hypo. A male looks like an arabesque, and is not hypo. Then there were several of those blonde ones. I thought they took after the father, but couldn't figure out where all that red tail banding came from. Now that they are growing up, I see that they are much lighter than the father (and cleaner). I think they are hypomelanistic of some kind. | ||
