I have one male who "combats" with any object that he brushes up against - water bowl, hidebox - at the height of the breeding season when he is introduced into a female's cage. And woe to the female who doesn't lie still! Hence, I have to remove every object from a cage (except the female!) when I introduce him. Still, if the female attempts to move around while he is courting her, she may get thrown against the side of the cage. I can make movements with my hand outside his cage when he is in this condition, and he will often throw his body against the glass toward me.
