you can lightly spray the snake with it as long as you block the head from getting sprayed because you dont want your snakes breathing that in... also, totally clean out the cage and put a small layer on all surfaces and leave the snake in there 5-10 minutes then wash the snake off in warm water and re-rinse the cage... that should take care of the mites for at least a while.
