Get your female's first. If you are set on getting a Pastel, I would buy a proven adult male...why not, you will see what he will look like as an adult, and he is proven, and you can get one for less than $400. I would forget the normal females, I would get two or three Pastel females, and wait until next year and get a nice Mojave male, Spider male, or adult Pastel male. If you are going to be small time, the price of female Pastels is so low, it is worth it to start with female Pastels instead of normals. BUT, get what you like! Do not buy a Mojave if you do not like them....
