Just keep taking the male out and putting him back in or in reverse however you have them set up. I usually leave them together for 2-3 days and then take the male out offer him food, If he eats then I wait another day or two before I put him back in, To let him digest his food a little before putting him back in with the female. You might want to drop the temps a bit at night, not real low just 5 or so degrees from your normal temps, Not your hot spot temps, leave them the same. I also open windows during storms that almost always get the mood set. However you never want to drop the temps lower than 75 degrees, you are just setting yourself up for respiratory problems. I have been told you only need to drop the 3-4 degrees to get them breeding. I would also say be very patient you have plenty of time to breed, If you male is 500-550 grams and on his second year he will get started when he is ready, my guess is in the next month or so. Keep us posted on you breedings. | ||
