It is my understanding that the mamba owner had several other exotic venomous snakes & had no permits for any. If that is the case, eliminating permits does nothing.

The HSUS is no friend of the snake keepers, either venomous or non-venomous. They will not rest until dogs, cats, & canaries are the only allowable pets, then they will go to work on eliminating those three.
